Osprey Engineering joins the CCTAL network

We are excited to welcome Osprey Engineering as the latest business to join our network of members.

Founded in 2021 by Mathew Rees and Adam Demery, Osprey Engineering is a Swansea-based electrical contractor delivering commercial, industrial and residential electrical installations across South Wales. Operating from Swansea Enterprise Park, the company works on large-scale commercial and industrial developments, manufacturing facilities and housing schemes throughout the region.

The team is currently completing electrical installations on multiple housing developments of more than 45 properties per site, alongside a 12-month project at a major distribution centre. In addition, it provides ongoing maintenance and project support for a number of manufacturing facilities across South Wales.

For Osprey Engineering, being a good electrical contractor is more than carrying out installations. The team understands that customers need a contractor who communicates well, plans work effectively, understands the pressures of working on site, works safely, keeps projects to plan and deals with problems without making them bigger for everyone involved. The business also places a strong emphasis on delivering work that is neat, safe, compliant, and built to last.

Supporting apprentices has been a priority since the business was established. To date, Osprey Engineering has brought through eight apprentices, with another due to join from school this summer. Two are now fully qualified electricians; two more are due to qualify in the coming months, and the business currently has apprentices in their first, second and third years of training. Some of those who started as apprentices are now managing sites, taking on greater responsibility and helping to train the next group progressing through.

Osprey Engineering joined CCTAL to continue supporting training opportunities and apprenticeships as the business grows. The team is looking forward to accessing additional support for its apprenticeship programme, connecting with other businesses across the construction industry, and taking part in conversations around training, apprenticeships and skills.

As the company continues to expand, its aim is to secure more commercial, industrial and housing projects, helping to create a strong local workforce.
