Vaughan Construction celebrates 10 years in business!

We’re pleased to celebrate a significant milestone for one of our members, Vaughan Construction, which is marking 10 years in business.
Founded by Managing Director, Adam Jones, Vaughan Construction is based in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, and works as a general building contractor, specialising in new build, refurbishment and civil engineering works.
The company works across South West Wales, from Pembroke to Cardiff and beyond, with projects ranging from local authority works, to larger commercial projects in both the private and public sectors.
As a family-run business, Vaughan Construction places importance on building and maintaining strong relationships with its customers, workforce and supply chain. Quality, safety, and professionalism are important to the company, alongside open and honest communication, integrity, and a can-do attitude.
The company’s ethos of ‘building on skills and knowledge’ reflects its focus on continually developing its staff and ensuring they have the skills needed to complete projects to the standards expected by its customers. Vaughan Construction has also hosted and supported a number of apprentices, giving them experience and opportunities to develop their skills within the construction industry.
Supporting the local economy is also important to the business. Vaughan Construction employs a local workforce and aims to use local subcontractors and suppliers, while several members of its team speak Welsh.
The company also places great importance on the health and wellbeing of those who work for and alongside the business, as well as its clients. Its values reflect a strong duty of care towards people, the environment, and quality.
The scale of Vaughan Construction’s current work also reflects how the business has developed over the past decade.
The company has recently completed the development of 20 residential plots at Cwwmawr, Drefach, having been appointed principal contractor by Life Property Group for Beacon Housing Group. The project involved the construction of 20 social housing properties, comprising a mix of houses and apartments, alongside the associated infrastructure, improved vehicle and pedestrian access, extended footways, parking bays and a turning head.
Vaughan Construction was also appointed principal contractor for the redevelopment of the White Swan in Swansea, on behalf of South Property Investment Ltd. The project transformed the existing public house into three commercial units and nine private apartments. The works included extending the existing two-storey building to four storeys, alongside structural work, new windows and doors, internal alterations, mechanical and electrical installations and external works.
The two projects are examples of the larger schemes Vaughan Construction has recently delivered, alongside its work on Local authority and larger commercial developments across South West Wales.
Adam Jones, Managing Director of Vaughan Construction, said:
“When I started Vaughan Construction 10 years ago, I never expected the business to grow to the point it has today. We started with a small team and a lot of hard work, and over the years we’ve taken on bigger and more complex projects and built some really strong relationships along the way.
“There have been plenty of challenges, but we’ve had some incredible achievements too. We’ve delivered projects that we’re really proud of, taken on and supported more apprentices, and been recognised through awards, including the Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards, where we took home a Site Award for our New Development at Cwmmawr, Tumble.
“I’m incredibly proud of our amazing staff and everything they’ve helped us achieve over the past 10 years. They’ve put a huge amount of hard work into the business, and they deserve a lot of credit for where we are today. I’m also grateful to our clients, supply chain partners and everyone else who has supported Vaughan Construction along the way – here’s to the next 10 years!”
Lynette Anthony, our Training Manager, said:
“Vaughan Construction has been a valued member of CCTAL for many years, and it’s fantastic to see the company reach its 10-year milestone.
“Adam and the team have built a strong business with a clear focus on quality, skills and the people behind the work. They’ve also supported a number of apprentices over the years, which is something we’re always pleased to see from our members.
“Congratulations to the whole Vaughan Construction team on 10 years in business. We’re pleased to have them as part of the CCTAL network and look forward to continuing to work alongside them.”
