Highlights from our AGM

We were pleased to host our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 9th April, at 12:00 pm at the Diplomat Hotel, Llanelli. This meeting offered a great opportunity to reflect on the past year, share important updates, and discuss our plans for the year ahead.

The agenda included an update from our Chairman, Delwyn Jones, who provided valuable insights into our progress and the future direction of CCTAL. We also presented a detailed financial overview, delivered by Jane Phillips, to ensure our members had a clear understanding of our current position — with spending projected at £93k last year, which helped deliver a staggering 251 courses and, consequently, support over 700 candidates.

Our Training Manager, Lynette Anthony, highlighted key milestones we’ve achieved over the past year and shared our goals for 2025, with a particular focus on enhancing community benefits for our members, outlining two potential projects on the horizon: the renovation of a local Mind centre in Llanelli, and the development of a wellbeing pod for the Mid and West Wales fire and rescue service staff.

Looking ahead, we’ve made supporting our members through community-driven initiatives a priority. We’re excited about the opportunities this will bring in 2025 and beyond, and we’re committed to offering more resources and creating stronger connections within our network.

Lynette Anthony, our Training Manager, said:

“As always, it was great to see so many of our fantastic members getting involved at this year’s AGM. Their input and enthusiasm really drive CCTAL forward, and we can’t wait to put our plans for the year ahead into action.”

It was fantastic to host so many of our members at the AGM. Their contributions and updates played a key role in making the meeting a success. We’re excited for the year ahead and look forward to another successful year working together!
